A native of California, Lisa Young moved to Asia after college. Following six years in the banking industry in Hong Kong, she went to business school in France. She then spent a decade based in London, Paris and Taipei, while working in the luxury fashion business throughout Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
In 2010 she accompanied her husband to Santa Barbara, California, where she found her new passion - creating jewelry. In 2015 she and her family relocated to São Paulo, and in 2018 they moved back to the United States and are now based in Fort Worth, Texas.
Big Moon Creations is named in honor of Lisa's late mother, who came from Taiwan and achieved her slice of the American pie. During an unexpected moment of poetic expression many years ago, as they were walking through the morning market in her hometown of Makung, she told Lisa that the moon is bigger in America.
Lisa takes her inspiration from her mother and all the women who adorn their lives with beauty.
