Last Christmas my husband gave me a pair of 18k gold earrings from H. Stern's Feather collection. We saw the earrings at Hotel das Cataratas when we visited Iguazu Falls a few months ago, and there was no doubt - the earrings were a match for me!
I love the brushed gold, the incongruity of the two feathers and the small details, such as the star and the small good luck charm dangling from the earring back. I also appreciate the groove in the post, as well as the large earring back, that help protect the earrings from loss.
They are now my go-to earrings when I'm not wearing one of my own designs.

Long before moving to Brazil, I fell in love with the jewelry of H. Stern. Between 2004 and 2008 I traveled for business regularly to Israel, where the brand has nearly 30 locations. Given my work in the luxury retail industry, I needed little excuse to enter an H. Stern store. Quickly seduced, I gradually built my collection, buying a piece here and there during my business trips.
Around four years ago I lost two pieces from the Feather collection: a long chain necklace that could be worn long or as a choker and a pair of asymmetric earrings, but I still have these earrings from the same collection. The feathers can be removed, and the earrings can be worn as studs. Love that versatility!

Although I don't remember the name of this H. Stern collection, this fun set of earrings and a ring come from the same collection.
My absolute favorite piece is this 3-meter or 10-foot long 18k brushed yellow gold piece from the Fluid Gold collection. It can be worn as a necklace, a bracelet, a belt, and a strap for a purse. Love, love, love this piece!
This is how it looks worn as a bracelet, and I'm wearing it with another H. Stern ring made of diamond encrusted heart shapes that are interlocked to make a rather unique ring in my opinion.
Last week we went Rio de Janeiro, the birthplace of H. Stern, for carnival. We took our daughter to a children's block party in Ipanema and literally stumbled onto H. Stern's headquarters when we were heading to lunch. We went inside and were treated to a "workshop" tour.
Through headsets we listened to the tour in the language of our choice and learned about the brand's history, stones found in Brazil and their cut, color and carat. We watched the lapidary process (the stone cutters use diamond dust in the water!), metal smithing, setting, polishing, and design. What a treat it was to be there!
This Valentine's Day my husband surprised me with this bracelet made of stones in the color of the rainbow, a terrific souvenir of our time at carnival in Rio de Janeiro and of our visit to H. Stern's headquarters, where some of the 600 artisans contributed to making this stunning piece. ❤️
